Introduced as a direct replacement to the Tweed Bassman amplifiers of the 1950’s, the Fender Concert amplifier was Leo’s new take on a 4×10″ combo now with built in Vibrato. Fender had begun to switch a lot of their classic circuits over to a head and piggyback cabinet form starting in 1961 leaving the Concert as their newer higher wattage combo amplifier aside from the “Twin” This particular example is an AA763 Circuit from the early black panel era dating to February of 1964 and features the traditional black panel Fender Electric Instruments name underneath the jewel light. The amplifier features replacement (4) 10″ Vintage Blue Alnico speakers rated at 8 ohms each, perfect for achieving lots of punch and low end. The original speakers are not included.
This 1964 Fender Concert amplifier is in very good condition. The tolex is in excellent shape showing little to no signs of wear. The Grill cloth has aged to a beautiful golden brown with a few small tears. The hardware has very nice patina with little to no signs of rust. Fenders original tube chart is in great shape with only a few small tears on the bottom left corner. The amplifier includes a single button footswitch but is incapable for use as the amp has an RCA jack for the vibrato not a 1/4″ jack.
